Description
Program is a career development opportunity for those individuals set on a career as a creative executive in programming. Entertainment Associates should expect to be assigned for up to two years to any of NBC/Universal’s Entertainment Television Program facilities: USA, Sci-Fi, Bravo, NBC Universal Television, NBC Network.
Support Provided
Professional development includes mentoring and buddy programs, formal and informal seminars, skills training, understanding the business and making key contacts. Hands on experience in development and/or management of entertainment programming by providing input to writers and producers on review of scripts, concepts, ideas and scheduling. Attend table readings, tapings, notes meetings and pitches. Successful graduates of the program have been promoted within NBC Universal. The program offers competitive compensation including benefits.

NBCU News Associate Program
Description
A highly competitive program that identifies outstanding aspiring journalists who bring diverse backgrounds to news production and news coverage. It is an opportunity to learn newsgathering and production skills. It is not designed to train people who wish to be on-air reporters.
Support Provided
News Associates gain real-world experience honing research skills, developing news stories working in a news bureau, participating in field and studio show production, on the nightly news, a morning news program, or on a magazine program. 12-month program consists of several long-term assignments. Salary: $33,600/year.

Description
Students are placed in television broadcast/production areas, business operations and NBCU interactive positions related to their major and career goals. NBCU Interns are unpaid and therefore must be enrolled at an accredited four or five-year college or university.
Support Provided
The Internship program offers college students the opportunity to take a first step into the broadcasting industry. The program allows NBCU to identify high potential talent for future employment.

NBCU Page Program (LA and NY)
Description
12-Month program offers college graduates the opportunity to take that first step into broadcasting. Applicants will be given the chance to learn about many aspects of network television from the ground up. Primary function is to act as a liaison between NBCU and the general public, conduct guided tours and perform various audience services for NBCU shows.
Support Provided
Applicants have the opportunity to work in different departments within the company on either short or long term assignments.

Description
Program was established to help increase access to permanent job opportunities for minority students. Students work for a partner company during summers and school breaks from the end of their junior year in high school until they graduate from college.
Support Provided
Students learn many aspects of corporate operations and develop company-specific skills. Students in the program are mentored by selected staff and receive an hourly wage, as well as matching funds for college expenses.

Description
NBC provides funding for a minority staff writer position for all scripted Primetime Series, Daytime and Late Night Programming (including non-NBC Studio produced series).
Support Provided
Program funds a staff writer position on all new and returning Primetime Series for up to a total of three seasons for each minority staff writer so hired.
